
SUMMER FITNESS PROMOTION
Exercise, (Daily self-care) is not a seasonal hobby/activity. Exercise (cardiovascular & strength training) is how we maintain our physique. (lean muscle mass, condition heart & lungs)
During the Summer months, the majority of you completely stop exercising and believe it or not, consume more calories. You would think it was the opposite, since you are revealing more skin.
If you get winded just walking up a flight of stairs, it's a good indication that your cardiovascular and respiratory systems are not getting enough conditioning. A good way to find out how fit you are is to take your resting heart rate when you wake up. If your number is from 75 - 100, you are probably not very active. If it's 45 - 65, you are probably someone who takes good care of their body.
