Hypertension Genes Found in Black Americans

Researchers at the National Human Genome Research Institute said they pinpointed five genetic variants that appear to play a role in high blood pressure among black Americans. Scientists hope the mutations can be used as targets for therapy to prevent and treat this major risk factor for heart disease and stroke.
