This one's for YOU ---------- AMY ROSE!

3 Ways to Treat Knee Pain
A common physical complaint, knee pain can occur at any age and may interfere with many aspects of life, from participation in sports to simply getting up from a chair and walking. Any part of the knee — bones, cartilage, muscles, ligaments, and tendons — can be damaged by disease (such as arthritis) or injury; illness or trauma often inhibits the ability of the knee to support the body. Once the doctor has diagnosed the reason for your knee pain, here are some of the treatments that might be prescribed:

* Pain-reducing medicines, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or in some cases, corticosteroids or other medications can be injected directly into the knee joint.

* Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) or biologic response modifiers (biologics) may be used.

* Low-impact exercises or electrical stimulation can be used to strengthen the muscles.
