Work Out Away From Home

One of the best features of my 5-Factor Diet Online program is that it's portable. My celebrity clients love this because whether they're on location in Europe or hanging out in their trailer on an L.A. set, they can take my exercises and meals with them — and so can you!

If your dream vacation happens to fall in the middle of your five-week program, don't sweat it. Staying at a hotel? Call ahead and see if it has a gym. If you're a member of a health club, call to see whether there are sister clubs near your hotel. Going on a cruise? There are plenty of physical activities you can participate in, and most ships have a fully equipped gym onboard. You can also do many of my exercises in your hotel room, and if you can't pack your dumbbells (if you're going away for more than a week, consider buying portable dumbbells, which you fill with water), simply do the exercises without them. As for cardio, go for a brisk walk — on deck or throughout the city you're visiting.

And just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you can indulge in unhealthy foods. You can still combine the right kinds of foods — protein, carbohydrates, fiber, healthy fats, and sugar-free beverages — in each meal. Most hotels have a mini-fridge, so you can buy basic 5-Factor meals like cottage cheese or Kashi cereal and skim milk. If you go out to eat, don't be afraid to ask if you can make substitutions for certain menu items. For instance, if an entrĂ©e comes with white rice, ask for brown rice or steamed vegetables instead.
