Get Keen on Quinoa

You may have never heard of this powerhouse seed before, but quinoa (pronounced "KEEN-wah") was considered so sacred by the Incans, they called it the mother of all grains. Even though quinoa isn't technically a grain like wheat or barley, it's still chock-full of vitamins, minerals, and protein. Despite a slightly nutty taste, quinoa won't overpower any of your favorite 5-Factor meals, so you can easily substitute rice or couscous with this super healthy seed. The next time you prepare my Chicken and Rice Miso Soup or Shrimp and Rice Stir-Fry, why not try using quinoa instead!

Still nervous about trying something new? Don't be. This relative of spinach can be used in almost any dish — whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner! If you haven't tried this ancient power food yet, your challenge for today is pick up some quinoa today!
