A Numbers Game
The most difficult muscle to work out is your brain. Yes, technically the gray matter is not a muscle, but the way you think during exercise often has as much to do with what you accomplish as the way you move. For example, even the act of counting can have a huge influence when you're doing a number of reps. If you start at 1 and have to count up to 20, the number of reps may seem huge, you'll get discouraged, your muscles will give up, and you won't finish your set. Try counting down from 20 instead. By the time you get to 5, you'll realize you've already done 15 and have only a few left. Instead of being discouraged, you'll be empowered to push your way through to the end of the set. The same thing might happen if you count to 5 four times. Find a counting system you like, or try a combination of these. When you've challenged yourself to get all the reps done, even seemingly silly mental tricks like these can make all the difference. www.5factordiet.com
