Go Volunteer!
The contestants did something awesome during their challenge this week — they gave back to the community. Think you have some time to volunteer? There are health benefits to doing it too! In a report on the health benefits of volunteering, the Corporation for National and Community Service states that volunteering helps seniors live a longer life, maintain a higher functional ability, and lower their risk of depression and heart disease. Volunteering is a great way to kick loneliness out the door, too, since it involves socializing within your community and meeting new people.
