Target Training
It’s amazing the great results you can get when you work at the proper intensity. I want you to elevate your heart rate and get your body moving during your cardio workout session. I know this seems like another FITNESS FACT, but here is a great way to calculate your maximum heart rate (MHR). Once you’ve done this you can determine what your heart rate should be during a cardio session: between 55% and 85% of your MHR. For more information check out page 30 of The Eat-Clean Diet Workout book.

Maximum Heart Rate Calculation:
Max HR = 220 – age Ex. 220 – 45 = 175 beats per minute (bpm)
85% of Max HR = 0.85 x Max HREx. 0.85 x 175 bpm = 149 bpm
55% of Max HR = 0.55 x Max HREx. 0.55 x 175 bpm = 96 bpm
