The Road Less Traveled
Do you get a serious case of the blahs when thinking about your daily walk? Maybe that has more to do with where you're walking than the actual exercise. Walking the same path day after day can make the effort routine, and boredom might make you want to skip a day or two. Try a whole different direction, or walk your usual circuit, but in reverse order. Maybe you'll even notice something different about the terrain when you walk in the opposite direction. Instead of starting and ending at your house, what about exploring the area around your office? You might chance on a new place to grab a healthy lunch the next day. If all else fails, drive yourself to a park or a different neighborhood — just make sure to get your full hour of walking in after you park the car.
