Water for Weight Loss
Water is essential for weight loss. It helps carry nutrients through your body and aids in flushing out toxins. It can also be a great, non-caloric way to enjoy a "nice cold one." Here's how one member uses seltzer water as a replacement for high-calorie beverages:
"I've been addicted to soda for 20 years. I drank a 2-liter bottle every day, but now I keep a six-pack of seltzer water handy too. When I'm craving pop or some drink I shouldn't have — i.e., beer — I grab some seltzer and drink it right from the can. I know it's not pop, but [the] act of drinking a carbonated drink out of a can helps curb the craving."

Dr. Guttersen's Tip of the Day
With a Twist

Plain old water can be boring. Even seltzer water can be bland if it's not flavored. But a twist of lime, lemon, orange, or grapefruit can add zing to your water, sparkling or still — so much so that you'd swear citrus fruit was invented for just this reason. Citrus adds instant refreshment to water in warm weather, and a little excitement to your water in the dreary months of winter. Why not try lemon and grapefruit in your seltzer water? Now, that's flavor!
