This book is perfect for it's very simple, yet effective message. There are so many fads and so much misinformation available, it's nice to get back to simple messaging about smart eating. It is amazing that at least 6 of the top ten killers in America are preventable--mainly from overeating, physical inactivity, and obesity!

Here are a few "rules" from the book that stand out:

1. Escape the Western diet
2. Don't eat packaged foods with lots of chemical ingredients
3. Eat mostly plants
4. Avoid supermarkets whenever possible (he instead suggests farmers markets). We suggest learning how to shop with our Grocery Store Made Easy DVD (amazing that he left that out!) 5. Don't eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn't recognize as food
6. Pay more to eat less
7. Don't buy food where you buy gas
8. Do all your eating at a table
9. Eat slowly
10. f it doesn't rot, don't eat it (that's a personal favorite).
