Harley Pasternak's Tip of the Day!

Tortilla Tip
You already know tortillas are great for making wraps or breakfast burritos; here's a little something extra you can do to make this ancient Mexican flatbread even tastier. If you can spare a minute, tossing your tortilla onto a hot griddle helps develop its flavor. Let it sizzle for a few seconds on each side, just long enough for it to puff up. You can also heat it in the microwave for about 15 seconds, covered with a damp paper towel to keep it soft. The heat will make the tortilla easier to roll and softer to bite into as well. Challenge yourself to take the extra time to make your meal that much tastier.
Fill 'Er Up
Tortillas are perfect 5-Factor foods because they're so quick and easy. A wrap is a great way to have more fun with your sandwich and create a healthy and filling lunch that is portable and delicious. Grill a couple of chicken strips with sliced red peppers for a tasty protein wrap. Or create a new concoction with stir-fried tofu and wilted spinach. Try thinking beyond the wrap too — cut up your tortilla and toss it in a pan with beans, veggies, and some low-fat shredded cheese.
DANIELLE'S COMMENTS: My favorite wraps are Cedar's and Joseph's, which can both be found at your local SHAW'S/Star Market.
