The Buzz from............BIKINI BOOTCAMP

Walk It Off
Walking is a great form of exercise — it can be done anywhere, anytime, and it will relax your mind while pumping your body. A leisurely stroll can warm you up, and an intense walk, especially uphill, can leave you panting and feeling the burn. Make it a part of your daily routine! If you commit to at least half an hour a day, you'll start to see a more toned body emerge — and you don't even have to step into a gym! Just ask Bikini Bootcamper Eva:

"I started walking just to blow off steam sometimes; then I found that it was a great way to unwind after a long day, and it became one of my favorite ways to let loose! I'd come home feeling energized and couldn't even remember what had made me so tense. Soon I could walk longer and faster without losing my breath, and my clothing started getting looser, too!"Pump

Up the Volume
If you need more action than a walk around the block can give you, try a new venue. Devise new routes, or go to the local track or park. Get cute walking gear that you're happy to put on, and create a playlist of all your favorite songs - you may find you'll want to keep walking when you know that the next track is the latest Maroon 5. Try to bring along a friend for company and encouragement if that will make it easier.

DANIELLE'S COMMENTS: Just so you know, if you walk on a 15.o incline at speeds between 3.5 - 4.3, you can burn up to or more than 1,000 calories within 60 minutes. Talk about a calories deficit. Remember, besides the benefits of conditioning our heart and lungs, cardio is how we expend the energy (calories) to lose weight. Holla~
