The Buzz from........BIKINI BOOTCAMP

More Than Just Lemonade!
Loaded with vitamin C, lemons and limes are citrus powerhouses that bring out the flavor in any food. These refreshing, tangy fruits are a staple of Bikini Bootcamp dressings, marinades, salads, dinners, and even some desserts, so be sure you stock up whenever you're at the store. To get the most juice out of lemons and limes, roll them back and forth on the counter a few times, pressing down with your palm. Then cut them open and squeeze. On average, lemons contain about three tablespoons of juice.

Know Your C!
Lemons, oranges, and other citrus fruits are great sources of vitamin C, which is probably best known for boosting the immune system. But vitamin C — also called ascorbic acid — plays a much larger role in the body. It's an important structural component of bones, cartilage, blood vessels, and muscles, and it helps the body absorb iron and maintain teeth and bones. Plus, it's an antioxidant — so eating plenty of vitamin C–rich foods like fruits and vegetables may reduce your risk of cancer.
