Fast-Tracking Your Weight Loss
Feeling impatient? If you step on the scale each day and the numbers aren't moving fast enough for you, there are a couple of things you can do to speed up your weight loss. Your best bet is to fit some exercise into your day, if you haven't already done so. Even a minimum amount of physical activity — walking a half hour a day, for example — will help you burn off more calories. Also, try choosing vegetables only from Tier 1, and fruits only from Tier 2.

Here's another tactic: Don't fill your plate all the way to the edges. Just that slight decrease in portion size will pay off over time.

Make the Protein Calorie Cut
Looking to save calories when it comes to your protein servings? Next time you're at the meat counter, choose skinless chicken or turkey instead of higher-calorie red meats.
